An exciting oppotunity to paint with and learn from one of today's best! Birgit's work has been featured in numerous national publications such as: Watercolor Artist and Artist magazines for whom she writes various articles and instructional pieces. Her DVD's and books are well known and respected among contemporary seasoned and emerging artist communities.
In this three day workshop Birgit shares her techniques for simplifying compositions and create stunningly beautiful paintings. You will learn how to move and blend
water and color to create large smooth washes in petals. Birgit shares her knowledge of values and shadows to turn a seemly delicate flower into a bold dramatic painting. Learn how to develop another
dimension to your paintings by adding the illusion of water drops. Some of Birgit’s compositions include Uala to help teach you with shape. She will then guide you into other compositions such as
Plumeria, Canna, White Birds of Paradise, Angels Trumpet & Epiphyllum’s.
We will have a limited time frame, so if it is your intention to have one completed painting during this workshop, you may choose to work on only one composition. The intention of these three days is
to develop your skills, knowledge and confidence, and to explore different techniques that you can then apply to your own paintings.
Birgit provides sketches & compositions for all levels, or you are welcome to bring your own reference material and photos. This class is open to all skill levels beginners are welcome.
